Update for prayer

faith - hebrews 11:1

On Sunday while worshiping at our home church God spoke to me.

“You will be in a time where you will be overwhelmed with problems and not be able to see a way through them. Then you must start to feel positive about the outlook, because you know that God has made a way. He will not fail you!”

I want to speak this out first! To declare that we believe that God is bringing us through this season of war!
To stand on that word as I ask you to join us in prayer.

I also want to thank each of you who pray for us. Your support both prayerful and practical has kept us from going under. There are times I can pin point where I know I should have sank into hopelessness and depression, however my spirit was instead lifted to hope and trust. That was you! Prayer works!

Below is an update regarding our ministry, here and Operation Hope in Kenya.
Also a further update regarding Lisa and my own health.

Update on Lisa

This week we traveled back to the Walton centre in Liverpool. Lisa had been having worrying pains and symptoms. I’m pleased to say after thorough investigations they confirmed everything was as it should be. The shunt is in place and working. They removed an internal stitch which was coming to the surface and sent her home. We are continuing with caring for her and recovery. She will see the surgeon either in November or December to discuss the next bigger operation. The future has some scary times to come, but we are encouraged by the fact that one surgery is done. We are praying for Lisa to have physical and emotional strength renewed in time for the next step.
We trust our Father who said He is bringing us through this!

Steve's health issues

Although I’ve not requested prayer and haven’t wanted to detract from my request to pray for Lisa at this time. I think I must rally some prayer as we stand against more and more attacks.

On Wednesday I traveled to Bangor hospital to see the ear nose and throat consultant. My hiatus hernia is causing issues in my throat. My voice box has been suffering which could affect my ability to preach. I have been put on an extra strict none fatty, acidic diet. Which is miserable by the way lol.
I have an intestinal hernia which is also causing issues. Currently on a waiting list for surgery. A very high level of iron/ferritin which is under investigation. This could be caused by a number of scary conditions with scary treatments. This has been very worrying and I've learned not to ask google for advice on what it could be. I’m trusting God and trying to cast my cares on him.
I also have been struggling with my ankle as an old re build and bone graft surgery seems to be failing gradually
On top of that I have a couple of other referrals such as tinnitus, and neurology ect. It feels like I’m falling apart and each day seems to bring new problems.

To top it off my van has failed its MOT and I have to somehow find another!

I am reminded of Gods word to me on Sunday, and surprised that I am positive in all these things. He will make a way. He will renew my strength and He will not forsake us!

Ministry Update

As you will probably guess our ministry is not quite as busy as it has been previously. To say the least, however.

At our home church in Barmouth we are praying and believing God for a break through in salvations. We have helped start a small group for evangelism, along the Kings Army format. We will really ramp this up in a huge way as soon as we feel able. I am in regular contact with Scott McNamara too and want to support his vision to reach the lost with the gospel, one soul at a time.

Our vision for Africa is ever at the front of our minds!
This season will not stop the work!

Lisa is very keen to GO! I am encouraged by this and believe it is God. I intend to trust Father to provide for her as He has done for me. We will be ministering together in Kenya in 2025. I speak this out in faith! It shall Be!

We have still got the base house and rent that ongoing. It is our vision to make sure that is used for the gospel when we are there and when we are not. I want other partner ministries to go when we can't. However we are also going to look at setting up Kings Army in Kakamega too. We want to see teams of local people trained up to preach the gospel and make disciples of those they reach. This will be one of our main focuses next time we go.

We are still working hard to help partner with the boys orphanage in Kakamega. It often seems an impossible task yet the work continues. Jill Wilkinson has been so good working towards this and helping wherever she can to make sure those boys have what is needed. We are constantly seeking people who will support these boys with sponsorship. Let us know if you can help.

We have our big tent there at the base which I am trusting to use for bigger crusades as soon as God allows. And of course we have our 300 seater tent which is used every time we go.

As soon as Lisa is fit and strong we will be going to Kakamega to put the next steps into place for the ministry to grow. Also next year at least one other time we will take a large team to do a concentrated mission effort. Please pray about joining that team and be ready when we can release dates next year.

We are so very grateful for your ongoing prayers and support
We love you all so much and appreciate you
And of course we are trusting to have some amazing testimonies to share with you and the world.

Much Love in Jesus
