What is happening in Kenya?

I’m sending this out as an end of year update. We have endured one of the most difficult years of our lives, and sadly it doesn’t seem to be coming to an end yet.
But God!!!
We know that in all things God is good and His plans are yes and Amen.
He is the one who will never leave us or forsake us.
Charles Spurgeon said
“I have learned to kiss the wave that throws me against the rock of ages”.
We agree whole heartedly.

Lisa’s Health
Lisa is still struggling with health complications regarding her first operation. Mainly stomach problems because of the brain shunt. We are trusting for a breakthrough, and ask you to join us in this.
In 20th December she will have another CT Scan to give us an upto date picture of how things are going. We expect to see Lisa going for her main and large brain surgery at the end of January or early February 2025.
This is obviously looming and we appreciate your prayers so much. They have carried us by God’s grace.
We are so grateful for all of your continued intercession on behalf of Lisa. And of course we are so blessed by those who have been so generous at this time. Thank you so much, God is no man’s debtor, we pray you will be blessed beyond measure. If we have any new developments after the scan I will update for prayer.

Steve’s Health
I have continued to struggle with my health. Often feeling frustrated as we’ve had no clear idea of what is going on and also very long waiting lists ahead.
Last week I received a letter regarding a gene test I’d had, I have been diagnosed with Hemochromatosis, causing iron overload in my blood. It is an hereditary condition which would be potentially life threatening if not treated. The treatment involves lots of tests and venesections. I will need to go regularly to have blood drained in order to reduce the toxic iron levels. It explains my chronic fatigue, pains, brain fog and general ill health.
It is good to have a plan in place and I hope to get some improvement as we go forward.
My other complaints continue but I’m convinced most of them may be linked to this. We continue to pray and trust for a breakthrough.

Grace’s Missions
Grace is going to do an internship for up to 12 weeks at Kings Army in Orlando Florida. Grace is booked and will leave the uk on the 24th February.
She decided to delay leaving to give enough time to see mum through her big operation.
But will be out on mission from 24th Feb.
Grace would love to thank you all who have prayed for her and helped her this far. If anyone feels led to help her while she’s away you can do so through the charity account with her name as a reference.
Home Church - Barmouth Elim
Our home church has been incredible and we are so grateful to their love. We often feel frustrated at the small amount we seem to put into the church activities. We trust that will change soon. We hope to see our vision of street evangelism start to fly in Barmouth as soon as we are able to give the time.
So many others in this small church are going through incredible trials like or even worse than us. We appreciate you to pray that we see God’s victory in this place.
As our pastor Dawn said today
“If it’s not good, God has not finished”.
He will win and works all things for our good.
So what is happening in Kenya?
We haven’t been in 14 months!
Obviously our work on the ground continues to be limited. But we are seeing God continue to be faithful and open new doors too.
We have been able to continue supporting the street boys and orphanage work. We thank Jill Wilkinson for really pushing ahead with this. We are always desperate for sponsors for these boys and we thank you for all your help.
We have managed to keep the base and car running, and even last week pastors were using it as part of a conference which was a great blessing.
In January we expect to see a team of evangelists starting to be trained up as part of The Kings Army. We hope to see a team of trained evangelists taking Kakamega for Jesus asap. They will also be using the base as a meeting place and discipleship hub. As soon as Lisa is recovered and starting to feel like herself we will be planning our next team trip.
We hope to be going along with a team from the USA. Including Scott McNamara, who will be putting together a training camp for Kings Army evangelists.
Please pray for the logistics of trying to forge ahead with that work from a distance. We really want to see people taking off with Jesus at the door and leading many to Christ even before we go out again.
We so appreciate those who have continued to help us. We may not be out there a lot. But our expenses continue and so does the work we are building.
It’s my hope and prayer that after this trial Lisa and possibly our children will be able to go and spend a sustained period of time at the base, getting involved on the ground as things grow.
We really appreciate your prayers and Gods guidance in each step.
We are so grateful for all that you have done already however If God is touching you to help the family personally
