We are intending to undertake gospel tent missions in Uganda in the future.
Uganda - Overview
Uganda is located in East Africa. It is bounded to the North by Sudan, to the West by the Democratic Republic of the Congo, to the South by Rwanda, Tanzania and Lake Victoria and to the East by Kenya.
Uganda - Size and population
Uganda (area 393,065 sq miles) is just over 4 times the size of the United Kingdom (93,628 sq miles) but Uganda (population 42,729,036 Estimate 2018) is only about 63% of the population of the UK (population 67,081,000 estimate 2021).
Kampala is the capital of Uganda and has a population of 1,680,600 which is about one and a half times the size of Birmingham in the UK (population 1,153,717).
Mbale a city in the Eastern region has a population of 96,189 which is about the same size as Barnsley in South Yorkshire (Population 96,878).
